1. What is Journal.Investments?
Journal.Investments is a tool to help you keep track of and organise your notes on companies that you have looked at investing in, and to keep a log of all investing decisions you have made.
It also tracks your investing performance.
2. What is the purpose of Journal.Investments?
Journal.Investments aims to make it easier to write, store and access your investing notes, and to track your decisions, and make it easier to see why you took (or didn’t take) a certain action. We believe this will help you to make better decisions as you can review what worked in the past and what didn’t.
We also think keeping an investment journal forces you to think more about your decisions, and ultimately make better decisions.
Finally, we have some performance tracking tools that we believe can be used to improve your investing behaviour. This could include identifying that you are over trading, selling your winners too soon etc.
3. Is Journal.Investments Free?
Yes – Journal.Investments is a free tool.
4. How frequently are prices updated?
Prices are updated daily (they are end of day prices). This allows us to operate as a free service, but also we don’t think there is much value in checking prices several times a day.
5. I have an issue or a suggestion – who can I contact?
We would love to hear from you – please send us an email at contact@journal.investments
6. I want to upload a history of my transactions so that I can see my performance – can I do a bulk upload?
We are working on an update to allow you to upload a spreadsheet of transactions. In the meantime, please email us at contact@journal.investments and we will upload the transactions for you.
